A huge congratulations goes out to the cast, crew and many volunteers of the musical “Mary Poppins” who put in countless hours to make the show such a wonderful success. The production was performed April 23rd – 26th to sold out crowds in the Gwendolyn Kent Auditorium at Bathurst High School. Thank you also to all those community members who came out to support the show. Hope to see you next year!

The Broadway musical production of Mary Poppins takes the stage at BHS from April 23-26, 2015. Tickets are now available from cast members, Captain's Cabin, or the main office at BHS. Costs are $15 for adults; $10 for children (12 and under); and $40 for a family pass (2 adults and 2 children who are 12 or under). You won't want to miss this huge cast performance and reliving memories and creating new ones with your children and grandchildren! All shows begin at 7:00pm except for April 26 which begins at 2:00pm.

The annual Bay Breakfast will take place this Friday, April 24th. Once again, students from BHS and ESN will partner with some of our community restaurants to bring you scrambled eggs, bacon or sausages, toast and tea, coffee or juice. Tickets are available from students participating in the event for a cost of $6.

An important meeting for families of those students in grade 11 will be held on Thursday April 9th at 6:00PM in the Maxwell Family Learning Commons. This meeting will discuss the time lines for grade 12 including scholarships, post-secondary admission, NBCC entry requirements changes, and course selections.

On March 25th BHS Guidance Department will be have an important meeting for Grade 10 families and students in the BHS Maxwell Family Learning Commons (BHS Library) about course selections. The meeting will start at 6:30PM. This is an important meeting that will inform families of course selection for grade 11. There will be a small presentation followed by Q & A. Thanks and we hope to see a nice crowd. Please use the King Street Entrance into the Library.

Curran Daley, a grade 10 student at BHS who competed with Team NB - Hockey at this years Canada Winter Games in Prince George BC. Curran is a speedy centre that battles hard on the boards. He draws a large amount of ice time on the team's first penalty kill line. The team had a tough draw playing BC, Ont., and Manitoba in their pool. Team NB opened the tournament with a 5-3 loss to BC. Team NB then lost to the eventual champions Ontario 6-0, and 4-2 to Manitoba. Their first win came against PEI defeating the Island 5-1.
