The New Brunswick Blue Day was celebrated very proudly within the halls of BHS on Dec. 17, 2014. Students and staff wore blue this day to show their unified support to put an end to bullying. Many informative anti-bullying activities put on by our very own Bully Busters go on within our school on a weekly basis. Bullying is NOT okay and we strive to rid our lives of it EVERY day!

The Spirit of Christmas continued to touch the lives of others at the Southern Comfort Residence on King Avenue. Organizing staff went up to deliver the BIG box of goodies donated by all BHS staff members and they were just thrilled with our gift to them! The ladies in the picture were very excited about the anticipation of opening the box on Christmas morning. A huge THANK YOU to all who donated!

Bathurst High School was very honoured to have the pictured veterans attend our annual Remembrance Day Ceremony on Nov. 10, 2014. The entire student body paid their respect in a very memorable ceremony where veterans were marched in by bagpipes; students read letters; and participated in the Act of Remembrance. The BHS Vocal Ensemble and Choir also performed a reflective piece of music and a war-time classic for those in attendance. Veterans were then guests in our cafeteria for a turkey dinner where they had the opportunity to converse with students and staff. We will remember them!

“The Kitchen Door” breakfast program at Bathurst High School recently received a generous donation from Sobeys grocery store. This program, open to all students at the school, makes available a free breakfast each morning consisting of toast, bagels, peanut butter, jam and pure juices thus helping prepare the learners for the school day ahead. Shown in the photo above are Audrey Ronalds – ASD-N Community Engagement Coordinator, Shaun MacDonald – Principal, Bathurst High School and Kimm Carol – Assistant Manager, Sobeys Bathurst.
