Anglophone North School District is pleased to announce that Lieutenant General, The Honourable Roméo Dallaire is supporting our Africa 2020 initiative by providing a $3000 scholarship for one interested and deserving student in ASDN. This scholarship will pay for almost half of the total cost of this once in a lifetime educational experience.
The Dr. J. Harper Kent Scholar Bursary was established by the J. Harper Kent Charitable Foundation in 2017. One bursary is awarded annually to a Bathurst High School or Ecole Secondaire Nepisiquit student beginning an undergraduate degree program. This award has a value of $40,000 payable over a four year course of study in the amount of $10,000 per year. Recipients are required to maintain a 3.7 scholarship grade point average each term to renew this scholarship.

Lieutenant-General, the Honourable Roméo Dallaire (Ret'd) to speak in Bathurst
The Bathurst Rotary Club have teamed up with Bathurst High School to welcome Lieutenant-General, the Honourable Roméo Dallaire (Ret'd) to Bathurst on Nov. 2.
By standing up for the rights of those he was working with, and trying to protect, Dallaire is considered a hero by the international community at large. He has faced battle and peacekeeping and returned home to boldly share his story, inspiring others to be vocal about what they believe in.
The New Brunswick Legislative Assembly has declared the third Saturday in September of each year Becca Schofield Day in recognition of Becca's mission to spread kindness throughout the world. On Friday, September 14th Bathurst High School will recognize this day by encouraging acts of kindness and compassion that will be shared on social media with the tag #BeccaToldMeTo.
