ASD-N will be participating in Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 30th. Many classes will be learning about the importance of Orange Shirt Day and the history that shaped it.
Students and staff will be encouraged to wear an orange shirt to honour Indian Residential School Survivors. Be sure to take photos and tag those pictures using #ASDNOrangeShirtDay.Read more
Posted: September 21, 2020Kindergarten registrations in Anglophone School District North will be occurring in the coming weeks. Registrations this year will be completed by following COVID-19 health protocols. If your child will begin Kindergarten in September 2021, please follow these steps to register:
- Contact your community school by telephone, between September 24 and October 9, to make an appointment for a face-to-face meeting at the school.
- Face-to-face registration appointments will occur from October 13-23 between 8:30 a.m.

North and South Esk Elementary student Avery Hiemstra has just been awarded first place in the 'Junior Essay' category of The Royal Canadian Legion’s National Literary Contest. Avery was recognized for her writing proficiency and her ability to clearly evoke a strong sense of Remembrance in her work in a congratulatory letter from Dominion President Thomas Irvine, sent on behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion.

National Indigenous Peoples Day is this Sunday, June 21st.
It is a day for Indigenous Peoples to celebrate and showcase who they are, and a day of prayer to give thanks.
It is important to recognize the many contributions of the First People of this land, and to celebrate their culture and identity.

A CBC News story about Miramichi Valley High School and their Special Olympians has won the national RTDNA award! The story, which originally aired in February 2019, won the Adrienne Clarkson Award for diversity for all of Canada.
