Please be aware that all our bus route numbers have changed.  Another digit has been added to denote this area of the District. The Miramichi Area will have a 2 added to the bus number

 i.e. 47 is now 247, the last two numbers of the bus number remain the same.

If you have any questions about bussing to King Street, please call the school at 778-6076.

ASD-N Holds its Third Annual Elementary Drama Festival

Anglophone North elementary schools had the opportunity on June 1st to participate in the districts 3rd annual elementary drama festival.

Three schools participated this year.  Gretna Green School put on the play “Aladdin”, directed by Krista Bransfield.  Napan Elementary’s play was “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” and was under the direction of Cheryl Carroll.  Nelson Rural’s play was under the direction of Mary O’Neill-Delano and their play was “What a Knight”

100 Years of Loss Exhibit

The newly built Max Aitken Academy hosted 100 Years of Loss from April 3-14, which is a mobile exhibit that travels across the nation to build awareness and educate people about the Indian Residential School experience and it impacts on Indigenous Peoples and communities to this day.

District and Provincial Concours d’art oratoire Winners

On Saturday, April 22nd, Jacquet River School hosted the annual ASD-N French Oratorical Competition.  There were a total of 29 middle school and high school competitors from the Early and Late Immersion programs as well as from the Post-Intensive French program. All of the speeches were well done and the judges were impressed with the high level of French and wide variety of topics.
