Grade 9 students were on hand last night for our 12th annual Commencement Ceremony. This ceremony officially welcomes the graduates of 2020 to BHS. Mr. Craig Caldwell (Director of Schools) was on hand to offer some valuable advice to the newcomers as they begin this venture. Thank you to all the parents, families and friends that attended.
Tonight grade nine students will be formally welcomed to Bathurst High School through their commencement ceremony. Parents, relatives and friends are invited to attend this event beginning at 6pm. We hope to see you there.
The girl's soccer team will be playing against Sugarloaf Senior High School on Monday, September 26th. Come cheer for them on their home field at 4:30pm. We hope to see you there!
Wednesday, Spetember 21st, BHS students will participate in teh Terry Fox Walk during study hall on the walking track next to the school. All dtudents are encouraged to participate and donate to this worthy cause.
Starting today Bathurst High School students will be looking for the community's support for their annual fund drive. Students will be selling magazines, holiday gift wrap and other specialty items during the next two weeks. Proceeds from the sales go directly to student activities held throughout the school year. Bathurst High School will hold it's Welcome to the Jungle Dance this Thursday night. Doors open at 8. Student entrance fee is $3 for those dressed in theme and $5 for those who are not. Students who haven't yet paid their student fee should do so this week or at the dance. This must be paid to attend (unless arrangements have been made with Mrs. Furlotte). We hope to see everyone out.
BHS will be holding its annual post-secondary night on Monday, September 19th from 6:30-8pm. Students from both high schools (all grades), parents, as well as the general public are invited to the BHS cafeteria to meet with representatives from prospective schools to learn more about their programs, housing and student life. This is a great opportunity to begin exploring possibilities for life after high school. Come one come all! We hope to see you there.
