On Thursday, September 28th BHS held its annual Grade 9 Commencement Ceremony. Students were dressed in the robes that they will wear when it comes time for them to graduate in 2021. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of those students that took part in the evening and to the parents that showed their support.

Honouring Residential School Survivors and Remembering Those Who Didn’t!  
It is a national movement to recognize and acknowledge the experience of students of Indian Residential Schools, to honour the survivors and those who did not make it home.
 
This initiative asks for every Canadian to wear an orange shirt on September 30th in the spirit of healing and reconciliation. Bathurst High School will be honouring Orange Shirt this Friday, September 29th. Remember to wear your orange shirt!

On Thursday, September 28th BHS will be holding its annual Open House and Grade 9 Commencement Ceremony. Open house will begin at 6pm, followed by the ceremony at 6:30. We encourage all grade 9 students to participate in this momentous event.

Our annual QSP fund drive begins today! Students will be selling magazine subscriptions, wrapping paper, housewares and more. Profits from this drive go directly towards student activities at the school. You can make purchases directly from students or by visiting www.qsp.ca . Remember to use the group code 3706611. Students and parents are invited to our annual Post Secondary Night on Monday, September 18th at 6:30 pm. Universities, colleges and other schools will have representatives on hand to answer questions about their programs. Students from all grades are enouraged to attend. The more you know, the better prepared you are to make choices. We hope to see everyone there!
