SHAD is seeking high achieving students interested in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) with incredible intellect, drive, initiative and creativity, who are seeking an enrichment experience. Grades 10, 11 & 12 students can apply for the SHAD 2017 program.

Take Our Kids to WorkTM is an annual program in which Grade 9 (or equivalent) students are hosted by parents, friends, relatives and volunteers at workplaces across the country every November.

BHS student council collected non-perishable food items at the door of last night's Spooky Soiree Halloween dance. Members of the SRC (Magela Van der Pluijm, Kaitlin Oliver, Will Morrison and Daniela Kalenda) delivered over 250 food items to the Bathurst Volunteer Center today. A big thank you to the student body for all their support.

Our Spooky Soiree dance will be help this coming Thursday, October 27th from 8-11pm. Students are encouraged to bring 2 non-perishable food items with them for donation. Entrance fee is $3 with 2 non-perishable food items and $5 without.

Bathurst High School students took part in a training exercise with the Bathurst Fire Department on the evening of October 18th. Chris Gray (assistant trainer), Mathew Scott (assistant trainer), Marc Robichaud (assistant trainer) and Greg West (trainer) at the fire department, coordinated with BHS students in re-enacting a 1977 Saint John jail fire. The re-enactment was part of a training scenario for the Bathurst Fire Department firefighters. Participants from the Bathurst Police Department and paramedics from the area were also on hand to take part in the event.
