It's exam week! Students are asked to return any text books or novels they may have at home before the end of exam week. They can be dropped off at the front office or with the teacher that handed them out. We appreciate your help!

Grade 8 students will be visiting their future home of BHS on Friday June 1.  The Guidance Dept. will give them an introduction to the school and tours will be led by our very own Boomerang Crew.

May 17th is the International Day agaainst Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. The BHS GSA (Gender and Sexuality Alliance) will be at Bathurst City Hall to raise the Pride flag in honour of this day. BHS students (who will travel to City hall at study block) and community members are invited to come and show your support at noon on Thursday, May 17th.

Representatives from Parasport NB visited BHS last week to teach several classes how to play a number of parasports including wheelchair basketball and badminton, sledge hockey, goal ball, boccia and curling. Minister Kenny also came by to check it all out. The equipment for each sport will remain at BHS two weeks. Students and staff are invited to try their hand at the sports.

CyberNB held a workshop last week at BHS. In it, students from BHS, SMS and JRS learned about Cyber Security, careers in the field, and were challenged to do some hacking themselves. The Minister of Education (Brain Kenny) was on hand to encourage students to become involved in the world of coding and express its importance in their future.

The Addams Family Musical is now on at BHS. There are three performances remaining. Friday and Saturdau evening at 7pm, and Sunday afternoon at 2pm. Join us for incredible performances and a whole lot of laughs.

BHS report cards will go home on Wednesday April 18th.  The next parent-teacher conferences will take place on Thursday April 19th from 4:00 - 6:00pm in the BHS cafeteria.

The Dr. J. Harper Kent Scholar Bursary was established by the J. Harper Kent Charitable Foundation in 2017. One bursary is awarded annually to a Bathurst High School or Ecole Secondaire Nepisiquit student beginning an undergraduate degree program. This award has a value of $40,000 payable over a four year course of study in the amount of $10,000 per year. Recipients are required to maintain a 3.7 scholarship grade point average each term to renew this scholarship.
